Road to LA28 – Qualification Pathways

The journey to the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 begins long before the Opening Ceremony. Each Olympic sport has its own qualification system, developed by the relevant International Federation (IF) and approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), setting out how athletes and teams can earn qualification for the Games.

This page provides Namibia's athletes, coaches and National Federations with direct access to the official qualification pathways for each Olympic sport.

While qualification criteria are determined by the respective International Federations, the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) is responsible for supporting Namibian athletes and National Federations throughout the qualification process, communicating official updates, and ultimately confirming Namibia's entries for the Olympic Games in accordance with the Olympic Charter and the applicable qualification systems.

Athletes are encouraged to work closely with their National Federation throughout the qualification period to ensure they meet all eligibility, qualification and selection requirements. As qualification systems are updated or published by the International Federations, the NNOC will continue to update this page with the latest official information.
