Windhoek, Namibia – October 22, 2025 — Namibian sport has received a major boost as the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) and Hollard Namibia announced a groundbreaking three-year sponsorship that provides free travel and injury insurance for all Namibian national teams — a first in the nation’s sporting history.

The partnership ensures that every Namibian athlete representing the country abroad will now travel with comprehensive insurance protection, covering both travel-related risks and injuries sustained during competition.

“This is a game-changer for Namibian sport,” said NNOC President Dr. Ndeuli Hamutumwa. “We are deeply grateful to Hollard Namibia for this innovative product. It gives our athletes the freedom to focus fully on performance, knowing they’re protected every step of the way.”

The timing couldn’t be better, as Namibia prepares to send its young athletes to the Junior African Games in Angola from December 10–20, 2025. “Our rising stars will now compete with confidence, backed by full coverage,” added Dr. Hamutumwa.
