Namibia Finds Its Voice for Dakar 2026 with Winning National Song

A Song to Unite the Nation
The winning song, titled “Omake,” was composed by 25-year-old Euthermiah Kalimbula. Her entry stood out for its energy, sense of national pride, and its ability to inspire unity. The song captures the spirit of Namibia—its resilience, strength, and belief in its athletes—and is set to accompany Team Namibia on their journey to Dakar.
As part of the recognition, Kalimbula received a cash prize of N$25,000. Omake is out now on Spotify and all other major streaming platforms. Stream now here.
What Comes Next?
The song will now be published across NNOC-CGA platforms and shared with media outlets nationwide to build momentum ahead of the Games.
In addition, the organisation has launched the #OmakeDanceChallenge, inviting Namibians to engage creatively by sharing dance videos to the song on social media in the lead-up to Dakar 2026.
