These young athletes will proudly fly the Namibian flag as they strive for excellence and experience on the continental stage.

Organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) in collaboration with the Angola National Olympic Committee and the Government of Angola, the African Youth Games serve as the continent’s premier multi-sport event for young athletes. The Games play a crucial role in Africa’s sports development, acting as a key stepping stone for aspiring athletes aiming to reach higher levels of international competition.

The event offers a vital platform for young sportsmen and women from across Africa to showcase their talent, uphold the Olympic values of friendship, respect, and fair play, and gain invaluable experience in a high-level competitive environment.

Expressing pride in Namibia’s participation, the NNOC extended its gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Namibia, national sports federations, sponsors, and partners for their steadfast support.

“Namibia is proud to join this continental celebration of youth sport,” the NNOC stated, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the next generation of Olympic athletes.
