Alex Miller – Mountain Bike Cycling Men’s Cross Country

Our talented 23-Year-old Mountain biking sensation, delivered an inspiring performance at the Paris Olympics in the Men’s Cross Country race. Despite facing a challenging course and experiencing a mid-race crash, Alex demonstrated incredible resilience, positioning himself 29th out of 36 in his first lap. Unfortunately, the crash resulted in a suspected wrist injury, which forced Alex to withdraw from the race (DNF) at lap 3 out of 8, where he ranked 34th in the Split 2. Nevertheless, Alex’s determination and fighting spirit have made Namibia proud. We wish Alex all the best in his recovery period and hope to see him back on his bike soon.

Vera Looser – Women’s Road Cycling

We couldn’t be prouder of Vera Looser, who placed 68th out of 92 riders in the Women’s Road Race in Paris, ranking as the second highest African Country. Vera achieved her goal of completing the gruelling 158km race, a feat she hadn’t managed at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. Seeing her cross the finish line with a smile as a joyous moment for all of us.  Vera you have done yourself and our small nation proud, showing incredible class and inspiring countless young girls and women back home. We are so fortunate to have you as an ambassador and role model for Namibia and its sport community. Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment.

Philip Seidler – Marathon Swimming Men’s 10km

We are proud of Philip and his effort in the Olympic Marathon swim. Even though things didn’t go as planned his bravery truly shone through. Early in the race, Philip collided with a buoy, injuring his shoulder, but he didn’t let that stop him. He pushed on for 6kilometers, battling both the pain and a relentless current. While circumstances forced him to withdraw (DNF), Philips resilience is a true testament to his strength.

Helalia Johannes Women’s Marathon

Congratulations to Namibia’s Marathon Queen Helalia Johannes, on an admirable achievement at her 5thOlympic Games. At 43 years old, she finished 68th in Paris Women’s Marathon with a time of 2:38:36. Helalia, you’ve represented Namibia with so much class, and your love for running shines every time you are racing. We thank you for representing Namibia so very well and are so proud of you.
